When we are mindful we become aware of what is happening, moment to moment, without wishing it were different.

This program will help you gain an understanding of this technique within the context of the stages of Buddhist meditation.

This course is for all levels, beginners and those who wish to deepen their meditation practice.

Private group or individual studies to fit your schedule are available year-round.

Every month there is ONE opportunity, on Thursday evenings, for a reduced priced private registration.

Shiné Meditation

The Tibetan word for meditation, 'Gom', can also be translated as 'familiarize' or 'to get to know something'.

So the question is, 'familiarize' ourselves with what?

Our mind, of course!

Here it means to 'get to know' a positive state of mind, with training - because meditation is a function of the mind.

Shiné is not about relaxing. It is a method to hone a highly concentrated and stable state of mind which can be used for clear analysis.

This mind state is also comfortable to be in for any length of time.

Meditation is an essential part of how we stabilize our mind to create balance and happiness in our life.

What Should I Expect?

This is a theoretical and experiential course.

  • Live weekly classes on Zoom

    Classes meet once a week. A total of 6 hours of instruction.

    Groups are limited in size for maximum attention.

    Private groups and Individual study programs available.

  • Meditation Practice

    Classes will include meditation exercises and guidance.

    Option to participate in weekday meditations to support your practice.

  • Homework

    You will establish a daily meditation practice to apply your learning.

    You will be asked to keep a journal of your pactical experiences.
